Geography[]
Regions[]
Sailand is made up of many small countries that were conquered. [1]
Climate[]
Much of Sailand is arid desert.
Government[]
Sailand is a hereditary monarchy ruled by a king.
Succession[]
The king takes many wives into his harem with which he has many children. The eldest child at the age of thirteen officially becomes heir to the throne. [2]
The order of succession can become rather bloody, with assassination attempts such as when Lady Dylana tried to drown the crown prince Myrrha.
King's Harem[]
Historically, each country that Sailand conquered would provide a princess to be part of the harem. In more recent years, the concubines can be commoners; beautiful women flock to the capital Stella in hopes of marrying the king, and their parents will place portraits in the Hall of Flowers to boost their popularity. [1]
Social Hierarchy[]
In Sailand, a person's social status is dependent on birth, and to a limited extent their occupation.
A person's position in the hierarchy determines their rights and privileges within Sailand. For example, and +Anima and Kim-un-kur are kept as slaves; and some jobs are only available to nobles.

Slavery[]
The latter two classes can only be slaves. Any +Anima or Kim-un-kur found to be without a master is captured and sold at a slave market. All slaves are required to wear a collar which identifies their master, and protects them from being hunted and captured by slave traders. [3]
+Anima are ranked above Kim-un-kur for the reason that they have unique abilities. +Anima can work more jobs and earn their masters more money; so they typically sell for more at the slave markets.
